herbs for water (magical suggestions too)

Herbs to Get in Touch with the Element of Water
Aloe, Apple, Apricot, Birch, Blackberry, Chamomile, Cherry, Comfrey, Daffodil, Daisy, Elder, Foxglove, Heather, Hellebore, Iris, Irish Moss, Jasmine, Lemon, Lilac, Lily, Myrrh, Orris, Peach, Plum, Poppy, Raspberry, Rose, Sandalwood, Strawberry, Tansy, Thyme, Vanilla, Violet, Willow, and Yew.

Magickal suggestions to help get in touch with the element of water: TAKE A WALK IN THE RAIN. There is no better way to bond with the element of water than to take a walk in the rain or swim in the ocean. If you'd like to enhance this with the herbs, apply aloe to your skin to keep it from drying out afterwards, and eat any of the things mentioned above that seem to be fruits. It is a great way to get in touch.

-OR- Water is the element of wisdom, so try divination in a bowl of water. Food coloring will turn the water dark enough; do this in a dark room only by candlelight (don't let the candle be too close to the water or it will cast light onto the surface, and you don't want that). Grease the water with sandalwood oil if you have it, and gaze into the water to try to see images. You may or may not form questions in your mind. Your left hand is usually your receptive hand while the right is projective (in left-handed people it is usually the opposite but sometimes it's not); use intuition and your hands (or your tools if you are comfortable that way) to bring out and fix the images (generally left hand brings them out and right hand fixes them).

-OR- To the west of your dwelling, place a big bowl of water with rose petals floating in it. Open the windows and doors on that side and invite the spirit of the water to come to you and commune with you, facing west. You may want to do this on a rainy day, then take the aforementioned walk.
